A consultation by WSCC into the future of 5 small primary schools (including our catchment school, Stedham, and nearby Compton) closed on 25 November. Details of the consultation are here and our response is in the attached document.

START community trust up and running

START community trust up and running

As foreseen in our annual parish report to residents last Spring, Trotton has joined with Rogate and Stedham to form a community land trust - START Community Trust. Our MP Gillian Keegan attended the inaugural meeting this week and learned that START has finally achieved legal registration by the FCA.

A "Lifetime achievement award" from the Society of independent brewers (SIBA) was announced this week for Carola Brown, the former owner of Ballards Brewery and current chairman of Trotton with Chithurst parish council.

The parish council has responded to the WSCC consultation on the Soft Sand Review of the adopted West Sussex Joint Minerals Local Plan. Proposal to create walkway along A272 in Trotton

At the request of some residents, the village council is looking at the possibility of creating a walkway along the side of the A272 from Rother Lane to Terwick Lane. Stedham consulting on neighbourhood plan

Our neighbouring parish of Stedham with Iping has submitted its proposed Neighbourhood Plan to the South Downs National Park Authority (SDNPA) for examination, and the plan is now open to public consultation until 1 February 2019. Permits to be required for trailers and vans at WSCC recycling sites

From 1 October 2018 West Sussex Household Waste Recycling Sites (HWRSs)will require householders to have (free) permits to use a van, pickup or single axle trailer for private purposes.
