Permits to be required for trailers and vans at WSCC recycling sites

From 1 October 2018 West Sussex Household Waste Recycling Sites (HWRSs)will require householders to have (free) permits to use a van, pickup or single axle trailer for private purposes.

Council responds to WSCC school strategy consultation

The council has responded to the West Sussex county council's consultation on its draft school effectiveness strategy. The primary criticism was the lack of information on which to judge the strategy, especially as it affects small rural village schools.

Council co-opts new member

Following John Daborn's move from the area and resignation from the council, the vacancy was publicised as widely as practicable. As there were no calls for an election by residents in response, the recording officer ordered the council to appoint a new member by co-option. Our annual return for 2016-17 is now available here.

Between 12th June and 21st July, the public have the legal right to inspect the council's financial records and other information (although our clerk is always willing to answer any queries throughout the year). See the official notice by using the link below.
